Welcome to the Church of the Epiphany! Our church building is located in Royersford, Pennsylvania at the corner of Washington St. and Third Ave. just two blocks South of Main Street. Parking can be accessed along the streets that surround and are near the church building. The entrance to our beautiful worship space is on Washington. You can count on us to welcome you at the door and orient you to our worship materials as you have need. Dress comfortably… we have no dress code!
The Church: We are a family-sized faith community of Christian people who are joyfully committed to staying in touch with God our Creator and growing in our love of one another and all whom God holds as Beloved… that is… every human person. Our sign says “Come and See: All Are Welcome.” When you join us for worship or contact our Rector, The Rev. Beth Hixon, or talk with the people of Epiphany, we are confident you will experience the warmth of God’s presence, love, acceptance and care. If you are drawn to become a member of our community, we hope you will join us in sharing the Good News of God’s love in any of the many ways we nurture one another and others. We are sure you have spiritual gifts. We look forward to discovering them with you or helping you to contribute whenever you feel ready to do so.
Our Sunday Worship: We worship in the tradition of The Episcopal Church. We gather at 8 am for a quiet, spoken service and at 10 am for a service with music. At 10 am we listen together to four scripture readings from the Bible, sing hymns, listen to a choir anthem and participate in Holy Communion. We welcome children of all ages at any of our services and understand that little people are naturally curious, wiggly and can vocalize at unexpected times! Having them in worship is important to us and important for their spiritual growth. Children are welcome to stay for the entire service or they can follow the cross at the beginning of the 10 o’clock service (parents can go too!) over to the education building to participate in our Godly Play Program. The children return to the worship space when the congregation shares “The Peace” so families can experience the Great Thanksgiving Prayer and Holy Communion together.
Being Together: After the 10 am service we gather for conversation and refreshments on the ground floor (the “undercroft”) of the church building. (Follow those who move through the door at the front of the worship space and down the stairs.) One thing is for sure… we enjoy our refreshments and our time together! On the 4th Sunday of every month adults bring their refreshments and gather for a discussion of prayer, scripture, ethics, outreach, or concerns related to the health of our community. We hope you’ll join us for this relaxed time of fellowship.
WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING AND WELCOMING YOU SOON!
