Outreach

We at Epiphany embrace the belief that as Christians, we are our brother's and sister's keepers, and parish members involve themselves in a variety of community activities not directed by any particular church organization. Among these are Christmas carolling at local geriatric homes and hospitals, home visitation projects by individual congregation members, prison ministry, conduct of worship services at Manatawny Manor and for others unable to come to church, and many other Christian acts which , we hope bear witness to our faith and help us to grow in it. There is always more than enough of God's work for willing hands.

We encourage community service organizations of all sorts to use the church building for a variety of purposes, putting church property and equipment at their disposal when possible.

Al-Anon, Alateen and Alcoholics Anonymous

Al-Anon and Alateen meet each Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the Education Building. AA meets each Friday at 8:00 in the lower level of the Church.

The Spring-Ford Pastors Association and Project Outreach

Epiphany participates in maintaining the Emergency Fund and Food Pantry for those in distressed situations in the Spring-Ford Community. Nickels for Nourishment is an offering, taken monthly and designated to local, Diocesan or World programs for the needy, especially in the mission against hunger. In recent years, Nickels for Nourishment offerings have gone to Project Outreach, a program working with the needy of this region, supplying them with food and other forms of support.

Episcopal Nursery School

This is also a public, nondenominational nursery school with accredited teachers. There are currently two classes for four-year-olds and two classes for three-year-olds. It meets in the Education building daily during the academic school year from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Coffee Hour

This is a noisy time for fellowship and meeting. It takes place after the 10:00 a.m. service and is held in the lower level of the church building. A rotating staff of volunteers prepare coffee, tea, juice, and "goodies" for everyone to enjoy.
