Epiphany Fund Raiser June 13, 2:00

The Barn Playhouse is putting on a special Matinee performance for the benefit of the Church of the Epiphany.  We hope to sell out the 160 seats for the performance.  Soon, we will be asking you to sell tickets to friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. and, of course, buy your own. There will be refreshments, and maybe a surprise or two in store for the afternoon.

As a fund raiser, we could make more than $2,500.  10% of all the profit will go towards the outreach budget.  As a fellowship event, the afternoon plans to be a fun filled way to spend time with each other.

Mark your calendars, reserve the day, make no other plans for Sunday afternoon, June 13th at 2:00

Mousy accountant Leo Bloom dreams of a more exciting life.  To live out his fantasy, he joins forces with down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock.  Together they hatch a scheme to find and produce the worst musical ever written and escape to the south seas with the left-over money from their investors.  Their plan backfires, however, when the show is a runaway success.  Based on Mel Brooks’ 1968 cult-film classic of the same name The Producers earned twelve Tony Awards, more than any other musical in Broadway history, and proved that friendship can come from the most unlikely of places.

The Barn Playhouse in Jeffersonville is performing this show starting in June.  Two of our own are in the ensemble, Chris Exley and Jennifer Hanahan.

We hope that you will tell everyone you know, and make this a wonderful event.  The show is hilariously inappropriate (as are most Mel Brooks shows).  Come prepared to laugh and have a great time.

This show, however, is not appropriate for children under 14 years old (if you want to know the details, see Jen or Chris for information).
